The RoleWe're hiring a Public Sector Compliance Manager to manage Peregrine's public sector compliance function as we grow in the U.S. market. This is a critical, highly cross-functional role for a detail-oriented operator who understands how compliance programs work in practice — not just on paper. You will be the company's owner for Peregrine’s public sector contractor obligations, building and running the systems, processes, and relationships that keep Peregrine compliant with its obligations as a government contractor. Success in this role requires exceptional organizational discipline and project management skills, as well as the ability to coordinate across multiple cross-functional teams, including Legal, People Operations, Finance, Contracts, and GRC.What You'll DoCompliance Program ManagementOwn our public sector compliance program — audits, FAR reps & certs, SAM.gov registrations, and contract-level obligations tracking across all active contractsProactively spot compliance gaps and partner with Legal and Contracts on remediation and new contract onboardingRun our compliance training program end-to-end, from delivery to auditable recordkeepingFacility Clearance & Personnel SecurityServe as our primary point of contact with DCSA to establish and maintain Peregrine's facility clearance (FCL)Manage the full personnel clearance lifecycle — investigations, determinations, reinvestigations, and records — partnering with People Ops on cleared-employee onboarding/offboardingEthics & Conflicts of InterestAdminister our ethics hotline, case tracking, and reporting to Legal and leadershipRun our conflict of interest disclosure process and political contribution logging under FAR ethics requirementsSupport upkeep of our Code of Business Ethics and ConductVendor & Subcontractor ComplianceLead pre-award due diligence on subcontractors and vendors, including debarment/exclusion checksMaintain vendor compliance records and partner with Procurement on FAR/DFARS flow-down clausesWhat We Look For5+ years of experience in public sector compliance, contract administration, or a closely related field — you have seen the full compliance lifecycle and know where the landmines areDeep working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DFARS, including representations and certifications, mandatory disclosure rules, and clause flow-down requirementsHands-on experience with SAM.gov registration and maintenance, CAGE codes, and entity validation processesExperience managing facility clearances (FCL) and/or personnel security clearances in a government contractor environment; familiarity with DCSA/DSS processes preferredDemonstrated ability to build and operate compliance tracking systems and comfort owning a compliance calendar, managing obligation logs, and driving cross-functional accountability without being the most senior person in the roomExperience administering ethics and compliance programs, including hotline intake, training programs, and COI processesExcellent project management skills with a high degree of ownership; you can manage multiple concurrent workstreams across different stakeholder groups without dropping the ballStrong written and verbal communication skills; you can translate complex regulatory requirements into clear, actionable guidance for cross-functional stakeholdersA natural collaborator who builds trusted relationships across Legal, People Ops, Finance, GRC, and Contracts; your ability to work cross-functionally is central to your success in this roleJD or other legal training is not required and is not a substitute for operational compliance experienceLocated in San Francisco and open to working in our office 4x/weekPursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.Annual Salary + Benefits + Equity (if applicable) + Bonus (if applicable)$140,000—$175,000 USDActual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, certifications or licenses, and specific work location.
