Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Days and Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) | Shifts may rotate based on operational needs

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting for patients up to 25 years of age
• Perform epilepsy monitoring and deliver specialized care across all applicable age groups
• Demonstrate competency in ECG/EKG rhythm recognition and administration of inotropes
• Complete orientation assessments including an ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate evaluation; an acceptable score on both is required
• Participate in holiday rotation, working at least every other holiday as scheduled
• Submit hours worked accurately through the designated time-tracking system

Required Qualifications

• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
• BLS (AHA or American Red Cross) , ACLS , and PALS certifications — must be active and in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 12 months of permanent, paid experience in PICU or the specialty being applied for
• One professional reference required from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty — must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months; co-worker references will not be accepted
• No open background check cases; license hits will not be accepted
• Local candidates are welcome and will be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
• Experience with epilepsy monitoring in a pediatric or multi-age setting
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation in a critical care environment
